They might as well have just called this the marriage mod since there’s so much of that going on here.

These children will eventually become adults, and they can then get into marriages of their own.īut what if marrying a villager sounds boring? Well, Minecraft Comes Alive adds a marriage option that can bind two different players together too. The main perk to marriage in this mod is getting access to children who will perform all kinds of chores, much like the other, grown villagers, except their tasks are more specified to helping your home specifically. There is no huge ceremony or anything, so if you hate weddings, don’t let that stop you from trying out this aspect of the mod. The Minecraft Comes Alive mod actually lets you marry villagers as long as they like you enough to make the commitment. You can even give them gifts if you like, which leads to the next big part of this mod. Besides trading with them, you can just have a friendly chat, or ask villagers to follow you, or hire them to perform various tasks. Villagers actually get identities, with names which are randomly assigned and both male and female genders. The Minecraft Comes Alive mod is about more than just making villagers talk though. It’s not like they have long-winded conversations with you or anything, but simple greetings and farewells sound a lot better than the constant “Hnh, Hrrhh” sounds the villagers normally make. They can actually talk for starters, which is awesome if you’re one of the many Minecraft players who are tired of hearing the hushed grunts and groans of vanilla villagers.

But with mods like Minecraft Comes Alive, it’s possible to make villagers a lot more realistic. It offers trade, a good source of food, a bunch of empty homes to take your pick from and more, which is why years after they were implemented, people are still looking for these massive villages full of dull villagers. Despite the fact villagers are so boring and one dimensional it’s still nice finding a NPC village in Minecraft.
